George Shows 100% Improvement with Week 13 Pick 'Em Win!

CONGRATULATIONS to George (that’s me!) for winning the Week 13 Pick ‘Em Blog Challenge.  I lucked up this week, guys (and guyette) by picking a few underdogs that actually played pretty well, including my Redskins!  The Rams, Seahawks, and “Steagles” did me a favor.  This tops my best showing with these guys in this “pick ‘em” racket—I’ve improved by 100% with two (2) wins this season!  J

I don’t want to dominate this blog post by talking about the Redskins again (…how about that RG3—someone said he’s the “Michael Jordan” of the NFL!  (huh?)).   Instead, I’ll talk about the “NFC Least,” formerly known as the “NFC bEAST.”  With 13 Super Bowl trophies—the most in any division—you have to wonder if these teams (Giants (7-5), Redskins (6-6), Cowboys (6-6), and Eagles (3-9)) are still the class of the NFC, and if parity has truly come.   I want to believe it’s the latter—just look at the rest of the NFL (excepting Houston and Atlanta),  6 wins and 6 loses is about the average record so far.  Perhaps there’s some truth in the saying (“…On any given Sunday…”)!
